Lilyvale Solar Photovoltaic Plant

One of the largest photovoltaic plants built in Australia.

The Lilyvale photovoltaic solar plant is being developed by ACCIONA Industrial in collaboration with GRS (Gransolar) and ACCIONA Geotech, in the state of Queensland, Australia. This location has one of the highest levels of solar radiation in Australia. On the other hand, the plant is located in an ideal area for exporting electricity from the solar farm to the national grid.

Lilyvale will have a capacity of 118 MW, and has a peak power of 125 MW. This project is being executed under the guidelines of the EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) or turnkey model, for the client FRV (Fotowatio Renewable Ventures).

The Lilyvale plant covers an area of approximately 396 hectares and consists of 380,000 photovoltaic modules with single-axis trackers (mechanical devices capable of orienting the panels) and 25 transformation centres for the generation of clean and renewable energy. As soon as the plant is operational, 175,000 tons of CO2 per year will be avoided and 45,000 homes can be supplied.
