ACCIONA Industrial is sponsoring the “World Waste to Energy and Resources Summit”, a major event in the waste management sector that will take place on 21 and 22 May in London.
The financing of projects to convert waste as part of the circular economy, the digital revolution in the sector, new business models, waste policies and innovation will be the main topics to be discussed during the event.
Business leaders from specialist waste management companies will attend the summit alongside project developers, technology and engineering companies, local governments and representatives from the financial community to boost investment in the sector and identify efficient solutions to accelerate the implementation of new projects.
ACCIONA Industrial will have a stand at the event, where it will present its experience in the waste-to-energy sector by showcasing its latest projects in this field, especially Kwinana, the first plant of its kind in Australia.
At 9.45 am on Tuesday 21 May, the Business Development Manager of ACCIONA Industrial, Alfons Juan, will sit on a panel focusing on the new opportunities and challenges for the waste-to-energy sector in international markets.
His talk will explain the solutions proposed by ACCIONA for recovering energy from waste through two projects currently under way – Kwinana in Australia, and Ness in the United Kingdom.
